Pilz’ expanded range of small configurable safety controllers includes the PNOZ m C0 – as narrow as a safety relay, but as powerful as a safety controller. Measuring just 22.5 mm in width, this ultra-compact unit offers exceptional safety performance, monitoring up to four critical safety functions on machines. It supports safety requirements up to category PL e (performance level) or SIL CL 3, making it an ideal solution for small machines across various industries such as packaging, robotics, and food & beverage.
The Pilz PNOZ m C0 combines the advantages of a safety relay with the power of a configurable safety controller, delivering eight safe inputs and four safe semiconductor outputs, all within a slim profile. With this functionality, it can reliably monitor safety functions such as E-STOP, safety gate monitoring, light curtains, and two-hand control. Safety circuits for the PNOZ m C0 can be easily created using the free PNOZmulti Configurator software, which is included with the unit. Starting from Version 11.1, the tool allows for flexible, straightforward implementation of safety requirements up to PL e/SIL CL 3. The system’s digital engineering capabilities reduce configuration time, cutting costs and improving overall efficiency. Safety architectures can be downloaded directly to the device via USB or saved to a chip card, offering an efficient and adaptable solution that can be updated or modified at any time.
