When Sibor’s team met BPX at a roadshow hosted at our Romsey office, it marked the start of a rewarding technical partnership. Impressed by the Schneider Electric stand and the robust, capable look of the products on display, Managing Director Rob Mockridge saw an opportunity. With support from Alister and Emmanuel of the BPX team, Sibor made the bold move to overhaul their entire control platform, adopting new PLCs, HMIs, and Schneider’s TeSys Island for intelligent motor management.
“Not only did we change product,” said Rob, “we changed the PLC, the PLC software, the HMI, the HMI software. Everything was new, and without the backing of Emmanuel and Alister’s team, we would have struggled. It’s actually been a pleasure.”
The integration of Schneider’s TeSys Island has delivered real benefits. With its space-saving, plug-and-play modularity and transparent diagnostics, TeSys has helped Sibor improve control and monitoring efficiency while laying a flexible foundation for future system expansions.
Though the project is still being finalised, Rob’s confidence in BPX and the technology is clear: “We’re nearly there… it’s been a journey, but it’s been a lot of fun. And without your team and your expertise, I’d still be scratching my head.”
