The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) has certified the conformance of Advantech’s CC-Link IE TSN Ethernet switch EKI-8510G industrial Ethernet. Please read on to find out how this new product is in response to demand for high performance Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) in industrial automation applications.
It joins a growing list of CC-Link IE compatible devices from independent producers. Produced by leading industrial communications provider Advantech, the EKI-8510G meets both Class A and B CC-Link IE TSN compatible devices.
Importantly, this means that it can offer various levels of performance to support a wide variety of industrial applications. This includes railway track use, as the product complies with EN 50121-4 regulations for signalling and telecommunications equipment.
Advantech’s TSN Ethernet Switch
By incorporating CC-Link IE TSN network technology, the Ethernet switch can manage high-speed, real-time, deterministic communications. As a result, it addresses even the most demanding data sharing applications with short cycle times. Moreover, the new Ethernet switch enables data traffic convergence, driving the effective merge of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) at the core of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) frameworks.
Advantech’s CC-Link IE TSN development follows their support of the CLPA and Mitsubishi Electric’s e-F@ctories of the future.
