John’s Personal Motivation
John Larsen’s connection to Hope Against Cancer is deeply personal. Four years ago, his daughter-in-law, received the devastating news of a breast cancer diagnosis. She in response to this life-altering event, along with support from family and friends, initiated fundraising efforts for Hope Against Cancer. John decided to front this noble cause, organising a sponsored walk-up Snowdon on September 9th, 2023.
A Community United
The community around John, including work colleagues from Elmleigh Electrical and numerous friends, rallied together to support his cause. Over the past four years, his daughter-in-law supporters have organised various events, from football tournaments to quiz nights, raising thousands of pounds. John’s sponsored walk is the latest chapter in this ongoing community effort.

On the day, the team faced the physical challenges of climbing Snowdon, reaching the summit with aching legs but hearts full of hope.
