We currently have an opportunity for an Office Manager to join our team at our branch located in Deerpark Business Park, Dublin Rd., Ballyvergal, Co. Carlow, R93 HP23. We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person to join our friendly team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Office Manager Job Role:

Your main duties will include:

  • To lead the team to achieve their individual goals as well as the wider branch, region and company objectives
  • Ensure quotations and orders are followed up and processed accurately in a timely manner.
  • Managing stock levels within the branch paying particular attention to stock cleanses, stock turn, aged and returned stock.
  • Overseeing the logistics of the branch to ensure optimum use of delivery vans and couriers to meet customer expectations.
  • Reviewing customer accounts and working with the Finance department to reduce invoices in query and aged debt.
  • Managing supplier relationships and sharing supplier information where appropriate.
  • Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships.
  • To support the Regional Manager in growing and developing the branch.
  • Manage workforce levels and holiday approvals for the branch team
  • Assist the Regional Manager in recruiting new members to the branch when required.
  • Undertake regular team and individual progress meetings.
  • Ensure all team members are fully trained on company processes and procedures.
  • Oversee branch administration ensuring excellent customer service is achieved.
  • Review branch reports regularly and take appropriate action, where required, eg, GDNI, open returns etc.
  • Engage with and support marketing initiatives
  • Work alongside the Business Development team to maximise sales and customer service levels.
  • Branch responsibilities including being a key holder, Health and Safety, ISO9001 and ISO14001 requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

To join our team, we are looking for a person who has the following:

  • Experience of managing people including coaching, mentoring and performance management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Industrial Automation and control industry would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
  • Experience of building strong relationships with new and existing customers and suppliers to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • High level of sales and business acumen
  • Ability to lead and develop a successful team
  • IT literate (MS Word, Excel & Outlook) and experience of CRM / stock ordering systems
  • Good time management and organisation to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in all situations
  • Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously
