More about the Robotics & Automation Awards 2023

Organised by Akabo Media, the Robotics & Automation Awards, in this, its inaugural year, celebrates the latest innovations and highest achievements to be found across the world of robotics and automation.

Including, but was not limited to, end-user buyers of robotics and automation, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), systems integrators, resellers and suppliers/vendors, entries were open to organisations working throughout the robotics and automation industry and within all parts of the related value chain.

Free to enter, entries opened on 5th May 2023 and closed on the 21st August 2023.

Each category had distinct entry criteria, and for the innovation-focused categories, any person or team working within or previously involved in the relevant academic field could of applied, regardless of their age or level of experience.

To help entrants with their entries, the awards panel outlined the following criteria:

  • Quality of contribution
  • Significance of innovation to the industry
  • Extent to which the solution creates competitive advantage for the company
  • Depth of application
  • Evidence of business benefits
  • Collaboration with others

The criteria for those who successfully reached the second stage presentation were:

  • Enthusiasm and passion
  • Commitment of senior management
  • Communication with the wider organisation
  • Scope/magnitude of change/achievement
  • Evidence of results

Strictly confidential, with entries only shared with the judges who were listed on the Robotics & Automation website, entries were accepted from organisations in the UK and across Europe only, allowing entrants to submit entries into more than one category. However they were encouraged to keep each of their entries as unique as possible.
